Abstract

Bano Qudsia, whose mention is incomplete without discussingBthe novel, short story, or novelette. Bano Qudsia, where she tried her hand at many genres, she also showed her talent in the novelette. And she gave Urdu literature rare novelettes. The themes of her novelettes are unique and unusual. "Aik Din" is the first novelette in her collection "Chahar Chaman." In which she has described various topics such as spirituality, unemployment, class struggle, the partition of India, etc. The language of the novelette is simple and easy. In the novelette, she has described class struggle. She has made it clear how a person leaves many of his desires unfulfilled due to not being financially strong. In the novelette, she has presented the picture of the backward class and the middle class in a beautiful manner. She has criticized the fact that how materialistic our society has become today, where human relationships and love are given preference over money. According to Bano Qudsia, the protection of human values is very necessary.
