A review of metaphors and analogy in the poetry of Dr. Sakhi Khan ڈاکٹر سخی خان کی شاعری میں استعارات و تشبیہات کا جائزہ

Abstract

Dr. Muhammad Sakhi Khan belongs to Mianwali and is a well known poet and critic of Pakistani literature. In Urdu poetry, he chooses the field of Ghazal. In 2017 he published his Ghazal collection with name of "Tera Aks Meri Kitab hay". He beautified his poetry with the help of analogy (Tashbeeh) and metaphor (Istiara). Analogy (Tashbeeh) and metaphor (Istiara) are virtual and figurative meanings of the words. This tradition came from Persian poetry to Urdu poetry
